My mother came to this home 6 months ago we was looking for somewhere close to us that had a great level of care and commitment to looking after our mum .She is happy and content with the last few years of her life the level of care for dementia is excellent and I don't have to worry about her .The amount of residents to care staff is excellent too .I fully recommend Upton House to those looking for a care home

I have nothing but praise for Upton House. The management and staff are extremely caring and my sister is well looked after. She is very happy living in Upton House and I know she feels safe in what is now her home. When I visit I am always well received by the staff and am made to feel most welcome at all times. I would have no hesitation in recommending Upton House to anyone who is looking for a care home for their nearest and dearest. Praise indeed is due to Upton House staff for all the care and kindness they give to their residents.

This is a wonderful care home. The staff offer the residents a dignified, respectful and very attentive care. This approach by all staff makes the atmosphere very warm and welcoming. We as a family feel reassured every time we visit. If your family member needs this type of care I'd personally recommend Upton House to you.

Upton House is a great care home. My mother has been very happy there for the last 6 months, with extremely empathic and friendly care from all staff. My mum, a vulnerable woman with fairly advanced dementia, is settled and feels at home at Upton House. Visitors are always made very welcome and we have had some wonderful times at events hosted for residents and families at the care home. Sometimes, we as a family feel as cared for as mum, with all the gentle reassurance from staff. The recent CQC report does not reflect our experience at all and unfortunately, we were never interviewed as part of the inspection. Therefore we never had a chance to express our opinion as a loving family, rather than an auditor's view, following a tickbox exercise for the CQC. Keeping residents safe through Covid was an impossible task for care homes and Upton House hold a 100% record for keeping their residents safe in unprecedented times.

Upton House is an awful place. My father was there for a short stay. The latest CQC reports concur with what our family found. Inadequate care, no access to bedrooms as they were locked My family were dissuaded from visiting or taking dad out. It would have been easier to visit him in prison. Fortunately he is now in a home that encourages enriching and fulfilling lives. This home should be shut down. I make these comments as someone who worked with elderly people including EMI and end of life care for 25years. You should be ashamed of yourselves if you have a caring bone in your bodies.

Read the latest ‘Inadequate’ rating following Oct22 Inspection - speaks volumes. My father was removed by our family after 8 weeks, as a result of documented findings by Care Quality Commission.
